Painting today?? Well i guess not.

So it is a balmy 82 degrees when we wake up at 4:30am each day. This means in order to paint at the temperature on the can you have to be out there eaaaarrrrly. And there was no dew on the deck or grass or handrails. The puppies nap beginning between 6 am to 7am for a good hour their first nap. So in preparation for painting this morning I went to my weather app on the phone.

Those are not bugs skittering about on top of the water...sigh perhaps next nap.

Today was a great day! It was finish the punch list and install the new front door day at the bayou house. Which made it ...drumroll please...end of contractor day!!!!! Hurricane in October 2018 ruined so many lives and the bayou house got so much less than so very many other people allover the panhandle, and yet it was still a long and ardorous process.

The fiberglass door that needs to be painted exterior picture, both stories picture and the interior picture.

It was such great day, that after i put a quick coat of the teal paint on the back deck handrail that was just sanded, i hand a shock top beer because it was 87 degrees out in the grey clouded sun, and then i had a second one to celebrate the contractors being gone!!

Sometimes Maple does the cutest things. Hope the video uploads and works.

So...we got the cutest puppies

back in March and it is so hot out that we got a pool to euther give them their baths or cool them off. Neither of them enjoys the water. Today I filled the tiny pool we got them on the deck and after all of my readying the house after hurricane stuff and then grilling for an hour.. i did this!!

i definitely need a bigger pool.

Project house

My mother and brother are coming to visit next week and the after hurricane projects at the lake continue along with cleaning. With two still puppies it is difficult to find big blocks of times for projects, so I spend most of the weekends doing orojects while Neal amuses the dogs.
