Day 5

Today is Tuesday, June 21st.

It is the summer solstice, which happens in a nano second or something like that as my husband says.  Which led me to reply, well great if I blink I won't have missed it!  Which of course, only makes sense to me because if I were to blink of course THAT nano second could indeed have happened during my blink.

It is day 5 of my current stint of unemployment.

It is not a "chat" day with my online quilting buds of over 10 years which is sad.

It is the day youngest son flies off for his first ever fly-a-way interview in Maryland.

It is the day I should be cleaning the sewing room so I can actually sew in there.  Hard to get motivated to do.  It is a sad reminder that I cleaned that whole room up back in January and then sewed in there on three 6 1/2" blocks?  something has to give and I guess it is me.

I need to GIVE that room a good cleaning!

I need to GIVEaway or sell a bunch of stuff!

I need to GIVE my excel spreadsheet a look at everyday and DO something on that list everyday.

So what is today to you?  Whatever it is to you, make it the absolutely best-est you possibly can for you and yours and those around you.

Blessings,
denise/deBRAT in too dang hot FL How hot is it?  It is so hot that I wake up to the A/C being on and it is set at 77 degrees, at 5 or 6 in the morning.  THAT is how hot it is.

  1. It doesn't take long for sewing rooms to get out of control...even when you aren't sewing in there, does it? If you room is like mine, it becomes the "dumping" room. Don't know what to do with it? Oh, put it in Mom's sewing room, we'll figure it out later...
Now that you are unemployed, do you have trouble organizing your days? That is my problem. At work, I have no trouble organizing unstructured time...at home, it's a whole different story!

  2. I honestly rarely give the days of the year a thought. I always wonder though, why after the longest day of the year it always seems to get hotter! Doesn't seem fair, does it?
